Job summary

Airgas Safety, Inc. in Levittown, PA is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate to oversee day-to-day material flow, safety compliance, and team performance in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will supervise a team, coordinate receiving, putaway, picking, and packing; operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed; ensure accuracy and productivity while upholding Airgas safety standards.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• 2+ year cherry picker and warehouse
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and or pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours
• Ability to read and comprehend customers' orders, bills of lading, etc.
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge or ability to learn computer software systems

Responsibilities

• Move material within a warehouse, adhering to safety standards and productivity metrics.
• Load/unload, palletize, receive, locate, pick and pack safety products and related items.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) as required.
• Report to warehouse lead, supervisor, or manager; support onboarding and development of other associates.
• Maintain clean work areas and comply with safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

At Airgas, our trusted Warehouse Associates are responsible for moving material within a warehouse, while adhering to the facility work rules and while achieving and sustaining the regular productivity, quality and safety standards. The normal duties may include loading, unloading, palletizing, receiving, locating, picking and packing safety products (such as safety goggles, gloves, boots, hydrating beverages and more) or other warehouse-related tasks as assigned. These duties may be accomplished by lifting (up to 50 pounds), placing, carrying, pushing, rolling (cages, carts, or ladders), using motorized conveyors, or operating hand trucks, pallet jacks (manual or powered), forklifts, order pickers, banding tools, packaging equipment or other material handling equipment. This position reports to a warehouse lead, supervisor, or manager as assigned.

• Ensure team excellence and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Listen to, support, and resolve team concerns by effective recommendations to company supervision, regularly assign and direct work, prioritize work, schedule work, authorize or approve time off requests, effectively recommends disciplinary action, actively participates in performance evaluations, effectively recommends pay increases, responsible for moving or transferring employees, temporarily or permanently, and exercising thoughtful judgment to guide and empower the team.
• Assure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Share expertise and knowledge in areas of responsibility.
• Ensure that work areas are clean and comply with safety regulations.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Support the onboarding, development, and success of other warehouse associates.
• Other duties may be assigned.
