Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Warehouse Associate (Order Picker) in Duluth, GA. The role focuses on efficient material handling, loading, unloading, and accurate order fulfillment to support timely shipments.

We offer a benefits package and the position runs Monday–Friday with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour. A minimum of 1 year warehousing experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Highschool Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year warehousing or similar experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand/walk up to 10 hours per shift.
• Able to read and comprehend customer orders and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and palletize safety products as directed.
• Ensure shipment integrity and accurate order handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per regulations.
• Operate powered industrial trucks as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

The normal duties may include the following:

• Efficient Material Handling: Supports the team’s quality and efficiency goals by loading, unloading, and palletizing safety products with care.


• Shipment Integrity: Ensures the quality and care of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders to provide excellent service.


• Safety & Workspace Care: Maintains a clean and organized work area to support a safe environment for everyone and ensure compliance with safety regulations.


• Equipment Operation: Operates powered industrial trucks as needed to assist in daily warehouse flow.


• Collaborative Support: Willingly supports the team with various tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma or GED


• 1+ year warehousing or similar experience


• Ability to lift 50 lbs.


• Ability to push and or pull up to 75 lbs.


• Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours


• Ability to read and comprehend customers' orders, bills of lading, etc.


• Basic math skills


• Knowledge or ability to learn computer software systems
