Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise a team in our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and distribution of materials. You will read schedules, direct 10+ staff, and coordinate packing, labeling, and shipping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating a warehouse team is preferred.
• Ability to read production and shipping orders accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a warehouse team in daily operations.
• Read schedules and orders to determine materials to move or distribute.
• Convey materials from receiving areas to storage or production areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, or code.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare pallets for packing or shipping.
• Record quantities received and distributed and ensure accuracy.

Hiring a Warehouse Lead

Summary

Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within warehouse by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to lead and direct team efforts in a warehouse environment.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information such as labels.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arranges product in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.

Responsibilities

Leads a group of 10+ employees in the warehouse operation. Responsibilities include ability to lead, motivate and direct team efforts while informing department supervisor of problems or potential problems that require immediate attention.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

$22-$23 per hour

6:00 am to 2:00 pm

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
