Job summary

Maersk Warehousing & Distribution Services USA LLC is seeking candidates for Fulfillment & Logistics Operations Execution. The role focuses on inventory and warehouse activities, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely distribution across the network.

Responsibilities include leading teams, applying SOPs, training on WMOS/SAP/WorldShip, and coordinating inbound/outbound shipments with customer service. This on-site position requires forklift certification and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Our extensive experience, connections, and deep expertise across different sectors, industries, and transportation modes, means we can be counted on for process excellence that will save time and money.Job DescriptionFulfillment & Logistics Operations Execution includes roles that manage and execute inventory, warehouse and fulfilment activities (planning and execution, distribution is covered by carrier management). Includes all kinds of warehouses like CFS, CY, inland depot / warehouses, bonded warehouses, etc. whether owned, operated or both by Maersk.Frontline stream includes individual contributors typically working on-site, otherwise in a \"hands on\" environment, supporting daily business operations activities. The Frontline career stream covers people in skilled or entry-level operator jobs often providing services directly for the benefit of our customers e.g. transporting and loading/unloading cargo, fulfilling orders, etc. The majority of time is spent delivering specific operational or technical services or activities, typically under supervision, in accordance with established schedules and standards (e.g. SOPs, quality standards, HSE regulations).Key ResponsibilitiesLead, and direct others; assign and assist with workload, monitors work progress/order assignments, and resolves routine issuesIdentify complex workflow issues and advises supervisor to obtain guidance and directionEnsure that all work areas, tools and equipment are clean, orderly, and in safe operating conditionEnsure all safety rules/procedures are followed throughout the facility, including PPE, safety vests, cell phone policies, no weapon policy, evacuation procedures, etc.Strong understanding and ability to use various systems (i.e.: WMOS, SAP, WEB/FT/EC, Manhattan, GLS, UPS WorldShip Systems, etc.). Systems may vary by facility and change based on client requirementsUse of Web system to produce accurate and timely reporting of all customer productAbility to train other colleagues on systemsUse of terminal and/or a Radio Frequency (RF) handheld or equipment mounted hardwareAssist in development of SOPs to exceed customer expectations and increase productivity and accuracyUnderstand Inventory accuracy system limits and use of hardware to handle all customer orders within shipping requirementsApply shipping, receiving labels, manifests and packing lists to shipments as requiredVerify shipping/receiving documents, labels, PO/SKU/item as well as container/trailer and dock doors prior to assigning the workload as well as follow up quality control inspections, identifying and reporting discrepancies to supervisor. Double-check shipping/freight informationEnsure all paperwork is delivered to necessary personnel for proper completion of all loads and updates of internal systemsComplete shift notes as requiredCoordinate inbound and outbound shipments with Customer Service staff to ensure all client requirements are being metDesign forms, documents to streamline processes and/or automate processesUnload/load deliveries of cargo, empty pallets or supplies as requiredMonitor supplies for departmentForklift certification requiredAbility to lift/handle cartons weighing 40 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 75 poundsOperates propane and forklifts as needed.
