Who we are –
Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (LFFC) is a nonprofit organic farmers’ cooperative of over 100 member farmers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We focus on creating healthy, high-quality foods from our highly maintained and enriched soils on our small-scale family farms. LFFC serves all of Eastern Pennsylvania, New York City, and most of the tri-state area by connecting the farmer and customer, delivering the best local organic produce, value-added products, and humanely raised and pastured animal products to retail establishments, co-ops, restaurants, and institutions.
Position Summary –
TheWarehouse Team Memberis responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and replenishing inventory. They accurately and efficiently pull or pick items for shipment, packing them appropriately, and update the WMS. This position is also responsible for helping keep the warehouse clean and orderly.Note: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
What you’ll be doing –
Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material and product, either independently or as part of a team, depending on order size and daily staffing needs.
Pull, prepare, and pack orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging, and quantity for each order to the required destination in shipping and receiving.
Properly handle product to eliminate damage.
Assist with warehouse duties where necessary, as assigned by your leads.
Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned, organized, and that all safety procedures are always followed by yourself and your teammates. Immediately correct (report when necessary) any potential risk and maintaining a safe working environment 100% of the time.
Inspect before using and maintain warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and basic tools. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs through the relevant channels.
Provide dependable coverage of the warehouse facilities to ensure order fulfillment operates as efficiently as possible for the duration of the warehouse associate’s shift.
After initial orientation and training, general direction will be given daily, but employees are expected to perform duties and responsibilities independently.
