Warehouse Associate - Janitor

Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment in Salt Lake City, UT. Responsibilities include general cleaning, sanitation, and assisting with office areas as needed.

You will work multiple shifts, with a starting wage of $17.75 per hour. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to health policies, and timely completion of training. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift heavy items are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift.
• Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as Forklift operation.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Janitor performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas.
• May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately. May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
