Parksite is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team! The Warehouse Associate will operate a forklift in our distribution center and pick orders using the voice picking system. Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise as well as other duties.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for executing warehouse operations in compliance with Parksite’s policies and procedures. This position involves receiving, storing, selecting, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products efficiently and safely. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including unloading trucks, checking merchandise, and verifying purchase orders.
- Accurately read and interpret customer orders, work orders, and shipping instructions to identify and select the correct items.
- Label and move inbound products to designated storage locations.
- Organize and store materials on racks, shelves, or in bins by category, product code, or other sequencing.
- Use voice-picking technology to pick and assemble orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks in a safe and effective manner; complete daily equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and accessible warehouse environment for associates and customers.
- Build and prepare pallets for shipment and ensure proper load balancing and wrapping.
- Accurately record quantities of materials received or distributed using appropriate systems.
- Participate in regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits as required.
- Support inventory control efforts through proper handling, documentation, and storage of materials.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and parcels for mailing.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform general warehouse and facilities maintenance tasks as assigned (e.g., sweeping, mopping, organizing supplies).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) months of warehouse or logistics experience required; one (1) year preferred.
- Forklift certification or verifiable forklift operation experience required.
- Prior experience with inventory control, receiving, or cycle counting strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with lumber and building materials is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety procedures, and product labels.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate quantities, percentages, and unit conversions.
- Ability to write routine documentation and complete order or inventory forms.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50+ pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to handle warehouse tools and equipment.
- Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and climb as necessary to complete job duties.
- Tolerance for working in varying warehouse conditions, including seasonal temperature fluctuations.
