Job summary

American Tire Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our nationwide supply network. You will load and unload, perform data entry, and help maintain inventory accuracy while supporting warehouse operations.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to operate forklifts with proper licenses, and teamwork to ensure timely order fulfillment across a fast-paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 0-1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to assist in loading and unloading.
• Data entry of product numbers, use of handheld devices and product placement for inventory accuracy.
• Assist in administrative tasks such as paperwork handling and warehouse closing procedures.
• Compile and submit reports on damaged, outdated stock, over/under shipments, and returns to vendors; segregate defective items from regular inventory flow.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, handling products up to approximately 50 pounds; manage tires and heavier items through rolling, destacking, or team lifting.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) safely, maintaining necessary licenses.
• Organize warehouse stock by product line and physical alignment, ensuring adequate space for overflow.
• Perform routine facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks, including cleaning parking lots, loading docks, and surrounding areas; maintain clear floors and tidy bathrooms.
• Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment, staging them for loading.
• Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing products regarding quantity, size, and type; report inventory shortages to management and assist in periodic counts.
