Job summary

Air Filters Northwest in Portland, OR is seeking a warehouse/install technician to join our team. Hours are 7am-4pm, Monday through Friday; flexibility may be required for occasional project needs.

You will perform filter installations, conduct pre-installation inspections, and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining inventory accuracy and smooth shipping/receiving flows. Team collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or certification in operating heavy equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with order prep, packing, shipping/receiving processes.
• Ability to use computer systems to create sales receipts and packing slips.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for installation issues.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50–60 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• No heights or claustrophobia issues (may affect rooftop/installations).

• Conduct pre-installation inspections to ensure all necessary materials and tools are available
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as standing forklift and pallet jacks
• Tend to customers arriving in Will call to place or pickup orders
• Assist with pulling, prepping, packing, and shipping/receiving tasks as needed
• Collaborate with team members to complete installations within designated timeframes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (Warehouse, desk space, vehicles, etc)
• Operate with great attention to detail
• Maintains accuracy when handling inventory, warehouse orders, and customer requests.

Requirements

• Prior experience or certification in operating heavy equipment such as Forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
• Familiarity with order prep, packing, shipping/receiving processes
• Ability to use computer systems to create sales receipts, packing slips, etc
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installations
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and lift heavy objects as required (up to 50/60lbs)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Candidates with a fear of heights, or claustrophobia should be aware that those may be issues for this role (Building tops, roof installations, along with tight Air Filtration units)
