Job summary

Red Ball Oxygen Company in Monroe, LA is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Associate to support sales and inventory duties. You will manage stock, fulfill orders, and assist customers both in person and by phone, using warehouse software and forklifts to handle cylinders and supplies.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehouse or inventory roles, with strong mechanical aptitude and high school education. You will work on a full-time, on-site basis in varied weather and environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and telephone customer sales and service activities.
• Manage inventory, pull orders, perform monthly audits, fill cylinders, and operate a forklift.
• Receive, process, and enter new warehouse stock into the computer system.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including picking, packing, labeling, staging and shipping.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory control, and report discrepancies; coordinate adjustments with Purchasing.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on stocking issues, dead stock disposal, and expediting orders.
• Check in equipment repairs, assemble new welding equipment for display, and maintain warehouse equipment.
• Provide sales and customer service support for walk-in and telephone customers; identify product needs.
• Prepare customer orders, quotations, bids, and related transactions for welding equipment and gases.
• Set up showroom displays, stock shelves, and maintain showroom/warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and sales staff regarding delivery.
• Must be able to use company software for counter sales.

Responsibilities

• To provide effective internal and telephone customer sales and service activities.


• To manage inventory, pull orders, perform monthly audits, Fill HP and Liquid cylinders, and operate a forklift.


• Receive, process, pick, unload, label, store, and enter new warehouse stock products and inventory items into the computer system as required.


• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, staging, loading, shipping, and filling back orders.


• Perform cycle counts, inventory control activities, audit support, and required computer transactions; report discrepancies and coordinate inventory adjustments with the Purchasing Department.


• Coordinate with the Purchasing Department regarding stocking issues, disposal of dead stock, sourcing materials for customers, and expediting orders.


• Check in equipment repairs, perform non-major equipment maintenance or repair, assemble new welding equipment for display, and operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment in accordance with procedures.


• Provide sales and customer service support for walk-in and telephone customers, including identifying product needs and recommending proper product applications.


• Prepare customer orders, quotations, bids, and related sales transactions for welding equipment, supplies, gases, and other products.


• Set up showroom product displays, stock shelves, and maintain the general condition, cleanliness, safety, and organization of the showroom, store, and warehouse areas.


• Communicate and cooperate with drivers, supervisors, coworkers, manufacturer sales representatives, and RBO sales/customer service employees regarding delivery.


• Must be able to use company software for counter sales.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent experience; welding knowledge a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years warehouse or inventory experience. Strong mechanical aptitude. Able to work in varied weather conditions and business locations - loading dock, outdoors, etc.
