Job summary

Safelite in the United States is seeking a warehouse associate for day shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm). Pay starts at $21.50/hour with weekly Fridays pay and benefits valued at over $10k.

You will operate MHE such as forklift/reach truck, perform pallet breakdown, use RF scanners, and keep a clean, safe work area. Training provided; benefits include 401(k), healthcare, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Weight limit of 300 pounds for operating certain equipment.
• Experience with MHE equipment such as forklift/order picker/reach truck.
• Able to work in varying environmental conditions and stay in a stationary position for long shifts.
• Physical tasks: lifting up to 35 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate at least one piece of MHE such as a forklift, reach truck, or order picker raised to heights of up to 40 feet.
• Engage in daily warehousing tasks such as pallet breakdown and dunnage preparation.
• Use handheld RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory.
• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and secure work area through housekeeping.
• Build steel pallets and prepare them for inventory replenishment.
• Assist with offloading tractor trailers by hand.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.
• Experience with some MHE equipment such as a forklift, order picker, or reach truck.
• Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts.
• Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates.
• Positive attitude with a focus on exceptional service.
