Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks a warehouse associate to join our on-site team in California. You will receive and count shipments, prep packages, and move goods using a forklift, while maintaining accurate data and safe work practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of warehouse experience, including forklift operation. We offer comprehensive benefits, 401(k), tuition programs, and ongoing training to support your development and safety on the job.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Occasionally drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferably, YOU have:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 - 5 years of experience
• Forklift experience
• Warehouse experience
• Valid Driver's License

Pay: $16.90 - $21.51 per hour
