Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will handle shipments, prepare goods for storage, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move items safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, and the ability to work around loud noises and varying temperatures while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate forklift equipment safely.
• Experience in warehouse tasks and basic packing/shipping.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record shipment data; match packing lists.
• Prepare and package merchandise for storage.
• Safely operate forklift/pallet jacks for loading/unloading and stocking.
• Deliver products to designated areas; may operate machinery.
• Verify inventory and assist with cycle counts; inspect stock for defects.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferably, YOU Have

• High school diploma or GED
• Warehouse experience
• Sit-down forklift experience
