Nordson EFD is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to record production receipts in SAP, move materials to inventory locations, and support production by supplying inventory materials as requested.

Responsibilities include material confirmation, pallet handling, Kanban management, and daily SAP reviews. The role requires forklift operation, adherence to safety standards, and a proactive, dependable attitude in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• SAP experience, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
• Forklift certification, experience with Raymond, Counter Balance and Turret Lift, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and accurately confirm materials into SAP using handheld scanner.
• Stamp each box and place on correct pallet for individual box confirmations.
• Verify no mixed parts on pallet before stretch wrapping.
• Move confirmed materials to warehouse locations for orders.
• Understand Kanban process and pull signals.
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and inventory manager on Kanban quantities.
• Retrieve components and materials needed in production as requested.
• Return unused components to warehouse locations.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to Inventory Manager.
• Retrieve materials for Quality Assurance and return good materials to stock.
• Review SAP MB51 daily.
• Keep inventory organized in designated locations.
• Operate forklift and shrink wrapper according to safety standards.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• Comply with ISO procedures.
• Assist Distribution Center as requested.
• Cycle count or recount inventory as requested.

Job Summary

The Warehouse associate I records production receipts into SAP, moves materials to their proper inventory location and supports production by supplying inventory materials as requested.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieve and accurately confirm materials (boxes and pallets) into SAP by using handheld scanner.
• Stamp each box and place on correct pallet - for individual box confirmations.
• Verify that there are no mixed parts on the pallet prior to stretch wrapping the pallet.
• Confirm materials and move to their warehouse locations upon material confirmations - for less than pallet orders.
• Understanding of Kanban process and pull signals
• Work with production supervisors, planners, and inventory manager to ensure that the proper Kanban quantities are set
• Retrieve component parts and other materials needed in production as requested by Production Departments
• Return unused components to their warehouse locations.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to Inventory Manager
• Retrieve materials to Quality Assurance Department for quality issues and return good materials back to stock.
• Review SAP transaction MB51 daily
• Keep inventory well organized in the designated warehouse locations areas.
• Operate forklift, other lift trucks and shrink wrapper in accordance with safety standards.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
• Comply with all relevant ISO procedures.
• Assist Distribution Center as requested by Management.
• Cycle count or recount inventory as requested by the Inventory Manager
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• SAP experience, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred
• Forklift certification, experience with Raymond, Counter Balance and Turret Lift, preferred

• English reading skills and basic math (must be able to accurately count and multiply)
