Job summary

Astec is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform warehouse functions inside and outside, manage inventory, and ensure safety standards. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, staging parts, and updating records. Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma and 0–1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-1 year of experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Material Control or Warehouse environment is a plus.
• Lifting of parts, forklift driving, and crane operation are required.
• Computer experience is necessary.
• Ability to measure and read basic orthographic drawings and extract data from routings/dispatch schedules.
• Must be flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pick lists and stage parts for production, shipping, and service.
• Load and unload materials safely using forklifts and cranes.
• Review work orders, monitor partials, and report shortages; update inventory.
• Assist in maintaining system location codes.
• Move materials to designated locations and secure lifting attachments when needed.
• Count and weigh units to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Store WIP and finished goods in appropriate locations.
• Participate in physical inventory preparations.
• Wear and utilize PPE as required.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Contribute to accident prevention and safety requirements.
• Assist with other projects as required.
