Job Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Control role involves managing and controlling product inventory according to team guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting cycle counts, inventory adjustments, replenishments, and resolving issues related to overstock and damages.
Essential Functions

Inventory Control
- Using computer-generated reports, conduct cycle counts in the fulfillment center.
- Audit product locations to verify accuracy of items, counts, and expiration dates.
- Identify and correct inventory errors.
- Set up new and adjust existing storage locations.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments in the system.
- For customer invoice items with unavailable inventory, investigate errors and edit invoices accordingly.
- Alert supervisors to product non-conformances such as packaging issues, wrong counts, damages, or shortages.
- Maintain clear aisles and the integrity of storage locations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations related to DEA, OSHA, FDA, EPA, BoP, and local/state agencies.
Replenishment
- Assess restock settings for replenished pick locations in the system.
- Verify product transfer accuracy at pick locations.
- Conduct cycle counts to verify on-hand quantities.
Overstock and Damages
- Update labels to reflect quantity changes.
- Communicate with vendors and procurement to resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with vendor return teams for return PO's.
- Update system notes on PO issues.
- Monitor discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution.
- Determine disposition of damaged products to approved charities.
- Report product non-conformances to supervisors.
Returns
- Process returned merchandise from customers or vendors.
- Collaborate with sales representatives on customer returns.
- Work with sales managers and vendor return departments for reimbursements.
Additional Functions
- Conduct all business in accordance with Patterson Companies' ethics and conduct policies.
- Align with company purpose, vision, and values.
- Operate assigned warehouse equipment/machinery.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and KPIs.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Handle hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs per procedures and regulations.
- Comply with safety guidelines and regulations.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficient in PC/keyboarding, familiar with MS Office and email.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
Working Conditions
Material and Equipment Used:

- Training and certification for forklifts and other equipment as needed.
Physical and Environmental Activities
- Moving approximately 75% of the time.
- Frequent grasping, reaching, bending, and stooping in confined spaces.
