Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Second shift Warehouse Associate I for our Fort Wayne, Indiana location.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate I position ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods throughout the distribution center. Tasks include order pulling, packing & shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse housekeeping.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Utilize RF Scanner for inventory picks to fulfill customer orders.
  2. Move orders and carts for processing.
  3. Inspect inventory and report issues.
  4. Verify items with scanners before shipping.
  5. Apply packaging to prevent damage during transit.
  6. Validate product details such as lot numbers and quantities.
  7. Print and attach shipping labels.
  8. Move packages to carrier staging areas.
  9. Report inventory or shipment issues.
  10. Use RF scanners for inventory management tasks.
  11. Perform inventory counts and resolve misplaced items.
  12. Optimize space utilization through inventory consolidation.
  13. Receive inventory from purchase orders.
  14. Ensure received items match orders.
  15. Perform inventory putaways.
  16. Report safety concerns or inaccuracies.
  17. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  18. Handle non-inventory items and waste.
  19. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily.
  • Preferred: 3+ months experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Windows preferred.
  • Team player with independence and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment & Equipment

Indoor, temperature-controlled environment with moderate dust and humidity. Use of RF scanners, computers, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
