Job Description

Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate's primary responsibility is to pick and load products for outgoing delivery. This role involves selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods onto pallets, and moving inventory to designated loading areas. Candidates must have problem-solving skills and comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift is essential.

Major Responsibilities

• Read customer delivery pick orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences (e.g., size, type, style, color, or product code).
• Use RF scanners to enter records and record data.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Drive forklifts (reach truck, order picker, turret truck, sit-down) to pick, pack, and transport items.
• Prepare parcels for shipping and stage pallets.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Load and unload vehicles.

Required Education / Experience / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a production or warehouse environment
• Customer service-oriented
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to work at heights of 25 feet or more while secured by a harness

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

This position is primarily indoors in a warehouse environment but may require outdoor access at times. The role involves operating forklifts such as reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks. Working at heights of 25 feet or more secured by a harness is required. The position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, and the ability to see, hear, talk, and handle controls or products. Frequent lifting of up to 35 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. are required. The warehouse temperature varies with seasons, being hot in summer and cooler in winter.
