Job summary

Missouri Star Quilt Company is seeking an Warehouse Associate to work in our Hamilton, MO distribution center. You will be cross-trained across Replenish, Fabric Cutting, and Shipping to build skills and support peak periods.

Start in Shipping based on demand and move to other areas to gain experience. Responsibilities include restocking, order filling with fabric cutting, operating/assisting with the Eastman cutting machine, and helping in the Quilting department as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.

• Able to work in a fast paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Able to multitask and work independently with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Restock, replenish, and move inventory correctly.
• Fill orders through fabric cutting at satisfactory levels of productivity keeping safety and quality in mind at all times.
• Rotate and help support the Eastman automated cutting machine to cut fabric into parts according to specifications.
• Shipping at satisfactory levels of productivity keeping safety and quality in mind at all times.
• Develop the ability to receive incoming shipments.
• Lend assistance in the Quilting department during peak periods.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company and comply with dress code requirements.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed and overtime may be required during peak periods.

CLASSIFICATION:

Hourly, Full-Time Monday -Thursday 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:

OurWarehouse Associate’sare cross trained to perform a variety of functions in various departments within our distribution center which is located in Hamilton, MO. Those departments include Replenish, Fabric Cutting and/or Shipping. You may start your career with us within the Shipping department (based on work demand) and then move to another part of the warehouse to gain additional skills, knowledge and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Restock, replenish, and move inventory correctly
• Fill orders through fabric cutting at satisfactory levels of productivity keeping safety and quality in mind at all times
• Rotate and help support the Eastman automated cutting machine to cut fabric into parts according to specifications
• Shipping at satisfactory levels of productivity keeping safety and quality in mind at all times
• Develop the ability to receive incoming shipments
• Lend assistance in the Quilting department (e.g. trimming, staging, binding, checking in quilts, shipping quilts) during peak periods
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company and comply with dress code requirements
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed andovertime may be required during peak periods

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Computer and handheld technology adeptReading and comprehension

Physical requirements:

• Continuous walking and standing for long periods of time
• Squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling on a frequent basis
• Frequently lifting up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds (with assistance); Eastman requirements: up to 13 pounds 10% of the time and fabric on tube (ROT) rolls - up to 50 pounds less than 5% of the time
• Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating a keyboard or use of a rotary cutter
• Able to navigate ladders or step stools as needed
