Description

Hiring for both AM and PM shifts.

(AM shift = 6am-2:30pm & PM shift = 2:30pm-11pm).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Safely and efficiently stage, load, and unload finished product and raw materials using material handling equipment, attachments, tools, and accessories. Maintain warehouse inventory and cleanliness at all times, ensuring safety for yourself and others.

Pay range for this position is $18.00-$24.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Inbound and outbound inventory receiving, etc.
  • Complete damage reports for product, wrapping, pallets, bundles, crates, etc.
  • Safely and timely prepare and load products for transport.
  • Stage products for loading safely and timely.
  • Load products onto trucks and/or railcars safely and timely.
  • Move products into warehouse inventory storage safely.
  • Manage waste and scrap disposal.
  • Responsible for quality control concerning damaged products.
  • Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform daily forklift safety checks and preventive maintenance; report issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Maintain a respectful, courteous attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and applicable state certifications.
  • At least 2 years of forklift experience in a similar industry; clamp experience preferred. Additional education may substitute experience.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:

The physical demands include talking, hearing, manual dexterity, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment. The noise level is usually moderate.
