Job summary

Royal Manufacturing in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized warehouse.

You will operate forklifts, use the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and support production and customer deliveries. The role offers a Day Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of warehouse experience.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Physically able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organization and inventory control skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts to move materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against PO and packing slips.
  • Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Scan inventory transactions using WMS.
  • Perform inventory transfers and cycle counts.
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required.

The Role

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, picking, staging, and shipping materials while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe, organized warehouse. This position regularly operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to support production and customer deliveries.

Day Shift: 6AM-2:30PM

Requirements
What You'll Do
  • Operate sit-down, stand-up, and/or reach forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Pick, stage, wrap, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Scan all inventory transactions accurately using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Perform inventory transfers, cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper stock rotation.
  • Supply raw materials and finished goods to production as required.
  • Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S and good housekeeping practices.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or process issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, labeling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • 6+ months experience working in a warehouse
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and inventory records
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to multi-task, handling numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented; ability to make quick decisions
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and inventory control skills
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
