Job summary

SpartanNash in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a warehouse associate to unload products from trucks and breakdown pallets while assisting various warehouse functions. You will lift 30–75 lbs, organize stock, and help with inventory control in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will also operate pallet jacks and other equipment, participate in sanitation duties, and ensure accuracy of orders. Weekend availability and safe work practices are required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Preferred) or equivalent.
• One year warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating power industrial equipment (electric pallet jack, long-tongued pallet jack, high-extender high lift).
• Must be able to perform essential job functions for 8-10 hour shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and evening hours, and overtime as assigned.
• Must understand and communicate in English, including reading and interpreting order forms.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from trucks; breakdown pallet and stack on pallets and organize products to be placed into appropriate warehouse racks/pick slots.
• Move or handle cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of groceries and related products as identified on order forms and in specified quantities.
• Assist with sanitation duties including cleaning the warehouse and disposing of trash as assigned.
• Operate power industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and other moving equipment.
• Check products for damage, verify quantities received according to PO and pallet labels.
• Assist with selection orders; assemble, palletize and label cases/pallets for customer orders.
