Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring for a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, picking, packing, and shipping in a fast-paced distribution center. You will scan with RF devices, break down cases, and operate various material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of related warehouse/distribution center experience preferred.
• Automated or RF (Radio Frequency) warehouse experience beneficial.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (pallet jacks, cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts) as needed.
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time with frequent stooping or bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be detail oriented, quality focused and self-motivated.
• Fluent in the English language with the ability to read and write preferred.
• Ability to work in coordination with other team members to accomplish goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and standards.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow established SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing the orders for shipment.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participate in projects as assigned by your manager.
• Cross-train in Inbound and Outbound areas.
• Receive large boxes on dock, scan product with RF scanner, and input product information into computer.
• Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse.
• Utilize voice-pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or small items.
• Palletize large items to skid and wrap for shipment.
• Pack small items in boxes.
• Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack).
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment and comply with EHS requirements.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour (inclusive of shift difference), with probationary employees hired at $17.50/hour base rate and progressing to $18.00/hour base rate after successful completion of 90 working days and attainment of union status.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Kinray - A Cardinal Health Company

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
