Job description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Sample Express Warehouse to join our TEAM! The Sample Express Warehouse will help with managing samples inventory and create sample boards.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $17.79 and $22.12 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.

Primary Objective

Maintains a sample inventory and ships samples to customers thereby maximizing sales representatives’ time with customers.

Major Function and Scope

1. Processes daily orders for samples.
2. Receives and puts away tile samples.
3. Picks and prepares tile samples for shipment to customers, sales reps, and SSC’s.
4. May assist Sample Express Specialist to create tile sample boards and ship samples.
5. Advises supervisor when sample supplies are low.
6. Assists in setting up sample work area, which includes building racking, shelves, and creating labels.
7. Keeps sample area clean and well organized.
8. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
9. Performs other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Forklift Operator. No general warehouse experience is required.

Competencies

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Basic math and computer skills. Detail-oriented, fluency in English, and safety conscious. Ability to work independently and solve problems.
