Box Loader/Unloader – West Jordan, UT

Freight Breakers LLC is seeking dependable, motivated, and performance-driven individuals to join our team as Box Loaders/Unloaders in West Jordan, Utah.

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that plays an essential role in the efficient movement of freight. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment. This position offers performance-based compensation, allowing efficient and productive team members to increase their earning potential.

Position Overview

As a Box Loader/Unloader, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, organization, and productivity.

Loading Responsibilities

• Hand-load boxes from conveyor systems into trailers using floor-loading techniques.
• Scan and accurately record packages using handheld scanning devices.
• Move freight cages to and from designated staging areas.
• Organize and secure freight to maximize trailer space and ensure safe transportation.
• Maintain consistent productivity while following established safety and operating procedures.

Unloading Responsibilities

• Unload boxes from trailers onto conveyor systems.
• Scan packages and accurately sort freight into designated cages.
• Maintain a high level of speed and accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Follow established procedures for handling, sorting, and staging freight.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Compensation

• Performance-based pay: Compensation is based on trailers and/or cases successfully loaded or unloaded.
• Typical earning potential: $16–$25 per hour.
• Top performers: $25–$35+ per hour.
• Employees who work efficiently and consistently have the opportunity to maximize their earnings.

Actual earnings may vary based on workload, productivity, and operational conditions.

Schedule

Day Shift

• Monday–Thursday
• 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• 10-hour shifts
• Four-day workweek
• Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Night Shift

• Monday–Thursday
• 7:00 PM–5:30 AM
• 10-hour shifts
• Four-day workweek
• Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry packages weighing 5–50 lbs.
• Ability to perform sustained physical activity throughout a full shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite is required.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
