Job summary

U.S. Lumber in Gary, IN is hiring for a warehouse associate responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting lumber products. You will follow safety policies and work cooperatively with teammates with minimal supervision.

Essential duties include operating a forklift, labeling and packing, maintaining a clean work area, and reading tickets/labels. High school diploma and 1 year warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred but not required.
• Basic math and analytical skills; computer literate (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, stage and transport products.
• Operate forklift and other machinery safely.
• Maintain organized work area and follow safety procedures.
