Sherman's Place Inc. in Peoria Heights, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our busy team.

The role involves loading and unloading large items, preparing deliveries, operating high-reach equipment, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized.

You will work a day shift (8:30am–5:00pm) with cross-training on the night shift; starting wage is $20.00 per hour and benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Strong physical fitness for lifting and moving large items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable and punctual with good teamwork.
• Demonstrates accuracy in order preparation and delivery staging.
• Willing to cross-train for second shift coverage.
• Comfort with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Handle Large Products: Safely load, unload, and move appliances, furniture, and other large items.
• Prepare Deliveries: Pick and stage orders for the next day’s deliveries.
• Operate High-Reach Equipment: Retrieve and stock items on shelves up to 30 feet high.
• Keep the Warehouse Running Smoothly: Maintain clean, organized workspace and ensure inventory flow.
• Work as a Team: Communicate, assist coworkers, and hit daily goals.
• Stay Flexible: Primary shift with cross-training to cover the other shift when needed.
