Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Chicago, IL to receive merchandise and fulfill customer orders in a safe, timely manner. Base pay is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, with full-time, non-exempt status in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include using RF scanners, loading/unloading, stocking, and preparing shipments for delivery. Physical demands require lifting up to 50 lbs and ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts where needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2+ areas of the warehouse and forklift certified.
• Organized, detail oriented and accurate; able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to become certified in operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise and fulfill customer orders safely and timely.
• Operate RF scanners for receiving, put-away and picking.
• Sort, label and package outbound shipments with accuracy.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse areas.
• Record quantities received and distributed; verify product codes.
• Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies.
