Job summary

Eclipse Advantage is hiring at Columbus, GA for a warehouse associate. You will unload freight, sort and prepare items, and operate various handling equipment. Training on RF scanning will be provided; overtime and weekend shifts may be required during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 6 months warehouse experience preferred, but training provided.
• Physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs.
• Warehouse equipment certification preferred (e.g., electric pallet jack).
• Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards.
• Excellent customer service required.
• Overtime/Weekends during peak/seasonal volumes.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions (coolers/freezers).
• Reliable transportation to arrive on time.
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Effective communication skills.
• Safety shoes are required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Unloads and breaks down freight (eg. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc)
• Sorts and organizes freight
• Operate various types of material handling equipment
• Sort, repack, and label freight
• Identify unusable pallets
• Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
• Remove items from sorting bins, scan and place onto conveyer belt
• Remove items from packing bins, scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy, produce packing list and bag items
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures. (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
• Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition
