Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is hiring Warehouse Associates to receive, store, pick, pack and distribute materials within the warehouse.

You will move items from receiving or production to storage or designated areas, and assemble customer orders for packing and shipping. Responsibilities include sorting items on racks, labeling materials, recording quantities, and operating a sit-down/stand-up forklift and reach truck.

Qualifications

• Must have 6–12 months of related warehouse experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate a sit-down/stand-up forklift and reach truck; certification can be pursued.
• Knowledge of order picking, receiving, and outbound loading/unloading.
• Experience with rack storage, bulk storage, and cycle counting.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to use common hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, pick, pack and distribute materials within the warehouse.
• Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
• Sort items on racks based on size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or convey to packing/shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Record quantities received or distributed.
• Operate forklift to move items to the packing area.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and push up to 25 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.
