Job summary

American Tire Distributors is hiring for a Warehouse I role. The position covers loading/unloading, stock organization, and routine reporting to vendors. You will operate forklifts and other equipment to move tires and supplies, while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform data entry on handheld devices, and support daily warehouse closing procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and follow safety procedures.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing/walking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to assist in loading and unloading; data entry with handheld devices.
• Assist in administrative tasks and warehouse closing procedures.
• Compile reports on damaged/outdated stock, over/under shipments, and returns to vendors.
• Verify inventory quantities and assist in periodic counts.
• Load/unload delivery trucks; move tires and heavier items via team lifting.
• Maintain safety licenses and operate forklifts/pallet jacks/order pickers.
• Organize stock by product line and maintain space for overflow.
• Perform facility maintenance and housekeeping; keep floors and bathrooms tidy.
• Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment and staging.
