GME Supply in Saugerties, NY is seeking a Warehouse Associate in fabrication/assembly to produce wire rope slings and custom lifting assemblies with precision and adherence to specifications.

You will measure, cut, assemble components, operate fabrication equipment, and inspect finished products while following safety standards and keeping work area organized. Forklift operation and basic data entry support are possible.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture wire rope slings and custom assemblies with precision per specs.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wire rope/components per job specs.
• Operate hydraulic presses, cut-off saws and fabrication equipment safely.
• Use hand tools (saws, hammers, crimpers, measuring tools) in fabrication.
• Inspect finished assemblies for quality and proper construction.
• Follow safety procedures and industry standards when operating machinery.
• Process job orders and input fabrication data in basic systems.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and assemblies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area for safety and efficiency.
• Communicate with supervisors about status, needs, or issues.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist teammates to support workflow and adherence to policies.

A Warehouse Associate - Fabrication/ Assembler is responsible for the accurate manufacturing of wire rope slings and custom lifting assemblies according to product specifications. This role will require strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures and the ability to work with various fabrication tools and equipment while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

What You'll Do

• Manufacture wire rope slings and custom assemblies with precision and attention to detail.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wire rope and related components according to job specifications.
• Operate hydraulic presses, cut-off saws, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use hand tools such as saws, hammers, crimpers, and measuring tools during the fabrication process.
• Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality standards and proper construction.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards when operating machinery and tools.
• Navigate basic computer systems to process job orders, input fabrication data, and track production.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials and completed assemblies within the shop when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient fabrication environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job status, material needs, or fabrication issues.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist other fabrication team members as needed to support department workflow.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, equipment use, and fabrication operations.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on fabrication techniques, safety standards, and equipment use.
