Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator at our New York facility. The role requires material handling equipment experience and involves unloading, receiving, picking, packing, and loading goods using RF and pallet jacks.

Shift Monday to Friday, 1PM–9:30PM, with comprehensive day-one benefits. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely processing within our distributed supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers manually or with pallet jack.
• Counts, verifies and receives product using RF equipment or Voice Pick Technology.
• Picks, packs and loads outbound products per customer specifications.
• Loads pallets using RF scanner and pallet jack.
• Performs bin replenishment and moves products within the DC for efficient processing.

We are seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team at Owens & Minor!

The anticipated pay rate for this position is: $20/hr + 8% and 10% shift differential where applicable

Available Shifts: Monday - Friday: 1PM - 930PM

Job Description

MUST HAVE MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on‑time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities

• ReceivingUnloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.
• Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.
• Bulk pickingSelect products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places in totes or on a pallet.
• Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually load carts.
• SortationPrepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
• Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
• LoadingUses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
• Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

General requirements for all functions

• Follows general sequencing and process procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
• Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
• Conducts physical inventories as required.
• Counts and performs basic math calculations.
