Job summary

Owens & Minor in Gainesville, FL is seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator with multiple shifts. Candidates must have experience with material handling equipment and be able to unload, receive, and process inbound shipments.

You will use RF scanners, Voice Pick Technology, and pallet jacks to move and palletize goods, perform picking, packing, and load-out duties, while maintaining safety and accuracy. This role offers a competitive hourly wage with a shift differential, plus comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Unloads pallets and counts/receives product using RF or Voice Pick Technology.

• Loads totes, pallets, and carts onto trucks using RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and accurate inventory records.

Summary

We are seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team at Owens & Minor. MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE.

The anticipated pay range for this role is as follows: $18/hourly + 8% shift differential when applicable

Job Description: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT TO BE CONSIDERED.

Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on‑time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities

Receiving

• Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.
• Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.

LUM Picking

• Selects products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places items into totes on conveyor belt.
• Removes empty cartons from pick module as needed.

Sortation

• Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
• Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.

Loading

• Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
• Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

General Requirements For All Functions

• Follows general sequencing and process procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
• Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
• Conducts physical inventories as required.
• Counts and performs basic math calculations.
