Job summary

Global Industrial Company in Buford, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate for 2nd shift operations. You will operate a Cherry Picker and Reach Truck to fulfill customer orders, scan items with RF devices, and prepare pallets for packing and shipping.

The role requires 1+ year in a warehouse and the ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly. HS diploma or equivalent is preferred; on-site work is required with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a reach truck or cherry picker in a warehouse setting.
• RF scanner experience and accuracy with handheld devices.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and instructions.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred; forklift/warehouse certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Move products safely using equipment and RF scanner to select items for orders.
• Assemble components and prepare pallets for packing/shipping.
• Assist Receiving with unloading shipments and inventory with day-to-day tasks.
• Support inventory and returns process and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Assist inventory and returns with day-to-day operations.
• Assemble components to build lockers and cabinets as required.
• Utilize hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast paced environment.
• Operates equipment to move product in an efficient and safe manner.
• Uses an RF scanner gun to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist Receiving Department with unloading new arrival merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist inventory and returns department with day to day operation.
• Assemble component parts to build various types of lockers and cabinets.
• Utilize various manual, air and electrical hand tools in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Competencies and skills

• Work Schedule: 2nd Shift. This role generally operates on a 4 :00pm-12:30am schedule.
• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Warehouse environment required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with material handling equipment required.
• Previous experience utilizing an RF Scanner required.
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and drawings to facilitate the assembly process.
• Independently able to life products weighing up to 75 lbs on a continuous basis in a productive environment.
• Able to stand, walk, pull and bend 100% of the day on a continuous basis in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.
