Owens & Minor in Allentown, PA is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator to perform warehouse tasks, unload and process shipments, and prepare stock for distribution.

• Basic counting, receiving, and RF or Voice Pick accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receiving: Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers with pallet jack.
• Counts and receives product using RF or Voice Pick technology; documents variances.
• Bulk picking: Selects products/quantities and places in totes or pallets.
• Assist on the dock with scanning and loading freight using electric pallet jack.
• Sortation: Prepare sortation area and move cartons to pallets/carts.
• Loading: Ensure correct loading onto trucks using RF scanner and pallet jack.
• General: Maintain safe, clean work environment and conduct inventory as required.

We are seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team at Owens & Minor. The anticipated pay rate for this position is: $20/hr

• Monday – Friday, 11:00AM – 7:30PM
• Monday – Friday, 12:00PM – 8:30PM
• Monday – Friday, 3:00PM – 11:30PM
• Sunday, 9:00AM – 5:30PM and Monday – Thursday, 11:00AM – 7:30PM, off Friday and Saturday

MUST HAVE MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE, which includes (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.).

Job Description: Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities

Receiving Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.

Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.

Bulk picking Select products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places in totes or on a pallet.

Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually load carts.

Sortation Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product. Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.

Loading Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and cartons are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery. Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

General requirements for all functions Follows general sequencing and process procedures. Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management. Places incoming merchandise into inventory. Conducts physical inventories as required. Counts and performs basic math calculations.
