Job summary

Border States is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Albertville to support warehouse operations and inventory control. The role involves receiving freight, verifying condition and quantities, and distributing materials to stock locations for efficient processing.

Responsibilities include filling orders, coordinating with departments and carriers, and maintaining safe, clean work areas while adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Windows, Internet, email proficiency; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damages or shortages.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received.
• Follows-up with appropriate departments, carriers and/or vendors on receiving discrepancies, damages and shortages.
• Checks and packs material to be delivered.
• Maintains shipping equipment and keeps work area clean and safe.
• Maintains assigned inventory stock locations to ensure correct locator and tidy shelves.
• Fills orders for delivery to customers.
• Assures all batched managed material is labeled accurately and inventoried, as needed.
• Supports the operations functions of the warehouse.
• Informs proper departments of stock outs and inventory problems.
