Job Summary

Responsible for warehouse and yard tasks in loading, unloading, pulling orders, shipping, truck-driving, returns, forklift driving, counter sales, customer service, and general roles working in all departments.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

1. Perform tasks such as loading and unloading vehicles, stocking material, pulling, staging, and delivering orders.
2. Move and organize material, such as pipe, valves, fittings, and pallets in storage areas, such as racks, shelves, and yard.
3. Receive purchase orders and ensure they are complete and accurate.
4. Verify physical counts of stock.
5. Answer telephones and help customers at the Will Call Counter.
6. Maintain clean work area, pick up trash, organize shelves, put material in the correct places, etc.
7. Learn about new products and help customers diagnose product needs.
8. Drive pickup trucks and flat-bed trucks to deliver materials to specific locations and operate forklifts or other machinery in order to complete tasks.
9. Order products, arrange deliveries, contact and update customers regarding delivery and order status.
10. Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
11. Perform any job that may be assigned as necessary to meet company, department or individual goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be eighteen years of age.
2. Must pass the Drug Test.
3. Must pass the Background Check.
4. Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
5. Must have good driving record/subject to Insurance approval.
6. Must be Drug Free, employer will conduct random drug screens.
7. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.
8. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
9. HS Diploma or equal required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Forklift experience.
2. Spanish Language Fluency.
3. Demonstrated success providing excellent customer service.
4. Strong communication skills with positive attitude.
5. Experience using sales order computer software.
6. Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
