Job summary

Architectural Surfaces is seeking a Warehouse/Driver to support both warehouse and driver duties at our Largo, FL location. The role may require Saturday work depending on branch schedule. You will safely operate forklift and cranes, process orders, stage materials, and ensure accurate loading.

A clean driving record and HS diploma are preferred. The position emphasizes safe handling, adherence to company policies, and collaboration with teammates to meet delivery schedules and customer

Responsibilities

• Warehouse – Safely operate forklift and crane in outside yard and warehouse.

• Inspect and verify all materials against paperwork before unloading; sign off on orders.
• Load/unload material onto trucks and secure slabs with straps and chains.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.

Position Summary

This position with Architectural Surfaces will perform both warehouse and driver duties. Depending on the branch schedule, Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

Warehouse – Essential Functions

• Safely operate forklift and crane in outside yard and warehouse.
• Accurately process incoming orders.
• Stage material for both customer viewing and loading trucks.
• Inspect, count, and verify all materials/products received against paperwork documentation prior to unloading trucks/containers; note any discrepancies on the paperwork.
• Sign off on all orders and cross-check with co-workers/supervisor.
• Load and unload material onto trucks safely and accurately.
• Secure all slabs on trucks using safety straps and chains.
• Safely move and secure bundles in the warehouse.
• Tag and identify the material as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including trimming excess wood and disposing of waste.
• Responsible for quality control; inspect material when loading trucks to ensure customer satisfaction and container material condition when unloading.
• Operate forklifts and hoists following all safety policies and using required PPE.
• Communicate with co-workers to ensure safety and teamwork.
• Follow and adhere to all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Driver – Essential Functions

• Timely deliveries.
• Perform inspections before and at the time of deliveries.
• Assist in loading and unloading.
• Prepare paperwork concerning delivery orders.
• Submit reports of damages.
• Maintain professional representation of Architectural Surfaces in all customer interactions and through responsible driving.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchases, mileage, and other records required by law and company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to use and/or learn proper forklift operation.
• Ability to read and understand order forms and serial numbers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal/non-verbal instructions.
• Hardworking, dependable individual with a team player attitude.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Prefer commercial driving experience.
• Prefer flatbed experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to use and/or learn proper forklift operation.
• Ability to read and understand order forms and serial numbers.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal/non-verbal instructions.
