General Description:

Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian organization. Our purpose is religious, focusing on sharing the Gospel and assisting the homeless and impoverished. We consider every position essential to fulfilling our ministry and statement of purpose. Therefore, each employee must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

Essential Functions:

1. Follow KDC policies and procedures.
2. Record all donation pick-up requests.
3. Discern, prioritize, and schedule qualified donations for pickup.
4. Maintain truck safety, cleanliness, organization, and ensure donation receipts are available. Secure moving equipment in the truck bed for use.
5. Perform weekly fluid checks on the truck, ensuring they meet specifications.
6. Check tire pressure weekly and report any mechanical issues immediately to the Operations Director.
7. Deliver qualified items to Simple Treasures or Rescued Treasures as needed.
8. Perform water pick-up runs as required.
9. Conduct metal or dump runs as needed.
10. Assist in maintaining the area behind trash dumpers.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Factors:

Work will primarily involve picking up furniture from donors. Work conditions vary:

• Occasionally = 1%-30%
• Frequently = 50%-80%
• Continuously = 10%
