Job summary

Mutual Trading Co., Inc. is seeking a warehouse/delivery associate in Flower Mound, Texas. You will complete door-to-door deliveries, pick and assemble orders, and maintain warehouse organization while coordinating with sales staff to meet urgent deliveries.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year warehousing and 1 year driving/delivery experience, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Bilingual English/Japanese is a plus; OT may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience.
• 1 year of driving/delivery experience.
• 2-4 years of driving/delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route.
• Documents, records, and completes driver log when making deliveries.
• Picks and assembles orders as indicated on the pick list.
• Stacks and organizes warehouse pallets.
• Assists receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and inventory.
• Coordinates with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.
• Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
• Participates in the weekly warehouse meetings.
• Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
• Performs duties as assigned.

Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 7,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.

Hours:

M-F: 8AM – 5PM; 1 hour lunch; OT may apply

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Completes door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
• Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently.
• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.

  • Noise Level: Loud while indoors.

Other Requirements:

• Conversational level English required; Business level English preferred.
• Conversational Japanese is a plus.
• Has and maintains a valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Works efficiently independently and in a team.
• Adapts to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required.
• 1 year of driving/delivery experience required.
• 2-4 years of driving/delivery experience preferred.

Knowledge and skills:

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
• Has strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
• Forklift training and/or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred.
