Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver

Reports to: Senior Warehouse Manager

Summary:

The purpose of the Warehouse Associate and Delivery Driver is to assist the warehouse in storing, pulling, preparing deliveries, and delivering items to customers. They will spend time in the warehouse receiving inventory and preparing products for delivery, while also driving the company box trucks. This person will serve as the warehouse’s representative on all receiving and deliveries, ensuring all items are properly tagged and packaged. They are also responsible for daily problem-solving activities related to warehousing and deliveries.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Must be prepared to drive or work in the warehouse as workflow dictates.
2. General warehouse work including picking orders, vehicle maintenance, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and other duties as assigned.
3. Assist the Warehouse Manager as directed.
4. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
5. Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the reporting manager.
6. Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles (box trucks) to transport products to customers.
7. Send daily updates on receiving and deliveries to the Warehouse Manager and Director of Operations.
8. Ensure all incoming products are properly stored and all outgoing items are pulled, inspected, and ready to be loaded.
9. Alert Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager immediately to any damage or issues with the company vehicles.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 - 10 hour shifts

Requirements:

1. Ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing.
2. 1-2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse environment.
3. 1-2 years' experience driving box trucks.
4. Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
5. Excellent time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on time.
6. Attention to detail to accurately complete paperwork and maintain delivery records.
7. Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain it prior to employment.
8. Clean driving record required.
9. Must provide a Driver's License and sign a form permitting a check of the License.
10. Proven track record of consistency, detail-orientation, and follow-through.
11. High School Degree or equivalent required.
