Job summary

Sysco Redistribution Center Facilities in Holliston, MA is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, stock, prepare, and ship merchandise to customers locally and beyond. You will operate a forklift/pallet jack, verify quantities and units of measure, and load trucks for delivery.

Responsibilities include selecting and packing items, preparing goods for freight, and maintaining quality and adherence to vendor policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; lift 40–60 pounds repeatedly each shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods.
• Forklift training/certification required or to be completed.
• Ability to operate Voice to Pick or RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, "Preferred Method Standard".
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time.
• Ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements.
• Ability to operate Voice to Pick System or Radio Frequency (RF) system.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous knowledge of SAP
• One year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification.

• Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.
• Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment, extreme cold or heat in freezer/cooler warehouse environments including a temperature of zero degrees.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, containing toxic or caustic chemicals, low voltage electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment usually is loud.
• This is a full-time position.
• Must have the ability to work a varied schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
• Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.
• The position does not require travel.
