Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is assisting a local employer in Portage, MI to fill a Warehouse Worker role. This is a great opportunity to build warehouse skills and join a winning culture with Adecco on assignment with our customer.

The position runs Mon-Fri 10am-6:30pm with a pay of $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities include packing orders, processing shipments, stock restocking, 5S activities, and teamwork to ensure orders are shipped the same day.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented with ability to work in rapidly changing priorities.
• Positive attitude and good peer relationships.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Read packing lists and track shipments.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use a computer system to pack customer orders and receive materials.
• Efficiently process shipments as part of a work team to ensure orders are shipped the same day.
• Pick products from storage, check accuracy, and pack for shipment.
• Demonstrate initiative by assisting others and performing general warehousing tasks during slow periods.
• Perform 5S activities such as sweeping, cleaning and organizing areas of the distribution center.
• Restock picking and overflow locations, complete cycle counts and sort product for receipt.
