Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in Houston, TX. The role supports loading/unloading, packing, and safe shipment of parts on trailers, with a day shift 6:00AM - 2:30PM and potential overtime.

You will operate forklifts and other lifting equipment, follow safety rules, and help with inventory counts to meet production schedules. Full-time benefits start day one, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement programs; $18.00 per hour base pay, with

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product on trailers using packing lists for verification.
• Place parts on trailers safely to prevent damage during shipment.
• Follow safety rules for working in a manufacturing environment.
• Package, crate, or load items to secure shipments and weigh trucks as needed.
• Monitor loads and ensure job completion; assist with inventory counts.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate is $18.00 per hour

Day Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, hours may vary depending on operations

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads and unloads product on the trailer using a packing list to verify that all parts are accounted for
• Places parts on the trailer in a safe hauling manner in accordance with manufacturing procedures to ensure the product does not get damaged during shipment
• Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading
• Packages parts using all types of crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment and for weighing trucks of items as required
• Responsible for each lift and decides when a check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load
• Constantly check each load being made to assure that the job is complete
• Expedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules
• Assist with inventory counts as required
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area
• May be assigned other projects or duties as designated by the Team Leader

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous work experience in warehouse environment preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead crane,and other lifting equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
