Job description

Purpose

The Warehouseman is responsible for managing inventory in the warehouse, including receiving, inventory processes, physical counts, and damage/defective control. The role involves assisting with shipments, receipts, damages, and disposals as needed.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
  • Assist as needed and instructed by the direct manager with RCNA warehouse duties.
  • Perform warehouse operations in RCNA manned warehouses.
  • Reconcile warehouse inventory with supplied paperwork.
  • Ensure accuracy of Lots, Packaging Codes, Nomenclature, Weight, Supplier, etc.
  • Handle shipments and receipts according to the RCNA Warehouse SOP.
  • Report any damaged materials received to the appropriate personnel (e.g., Claims, Receiving).
  • Manage work order lot issues in the warehouse.
  • Analyze reports to ensure shipments (SO’s, PO’s, Claims) are scheduled and completed within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with CSR, Buyer, Claims Coordinator, and Inventory Coordinators regarding work orders and updates.
  • Maintain accuracy of Lots, Packaging Codes, Nomenclature, Weight, Supplier, Rate Codes, etc.
  • Update reports for month-end reporting as required.
  • Make necessary adjustments for small weight discrepancies or rounding.
  • Act as liaison among inventory, customer service, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
  • Serve as the primary warehouse contact for RCNA shipment processing and inventory at RCNA Kent warehouse.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with current standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities but requires providing support, feedback, and collaboration within the team.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Work Environment / Conditions
  • Primarily in office and warehouse settings with standard equipment.
  • Work in shared spaces with noise; flexibility in schedule may be required.
Physical Requirements / Demands
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs; frequent standing, sitting, walking.
  • Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Travel may be required for physical inventories.
