Job summary

New Horizons Thrift Store Llc is seeking a Retail Warehouse Associate to help receive donations, load and unload trucks, and keep the warehouse neat and organized. You will assist the Furniture Department and help stock furniture for customers, using a forklift or pallet jack as required.

This role offers full-time or part-time hours, training if needed, and benefits including paid medical leave, life insurance, and optional vision coverage.

Retail Warehouse AssociateSupervisor: Furniture Team LeadLast Modified: 07/17/25Responsibility Statement:As a Retail Warehouse Associate, you are expected to uphold and actively support the vision of New Horizons Thrift Stores as communicated by Thrift Store Management and your immediate supervisor. Through collaboration and teamwork, you will help carry out this vision within your area of responsibility and influence.The Retail Warehouse Associate is a motivated, dependable team member responsible for treating guests with care and patience, receiving donations, load and unload trucks, and maintaining a neat and clean workspace.Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.Key Result Areas:Guest Interactions: greet guests with a friendly welcome and assist them with loading and unloading used merchandise and furniture.Supply retail departments: provide products for departments as neededLoading and unloading merchandise and furniture:Load and unload product onto delivery trucks using a forklift and/or pallet jackLoad and unload used merchandise and furniture for guestsMaintain a neat clean workspace: Keep the warehouse and furniture area clean and organizedAssist Furniture Department: clean, organize, and price used furnitureClose the store: follow store closing procedures when working a shift at closing time.Workplace EnvironmentPhysical Labor Environment – Involves working indoors or outdoors in elements of weather, noise, equipment, dust, and temperature. Repetitive motions of the hands and arms to handle, move, carry, and control objects and tools for extended periods of time are required.Body positioning - Includes standing and walking for the duration of a shift. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing and reaching is required.Physical Demands – This position is classified as heavy work. Paid vacation begins to accrue after 30 days.Compensation will be paid twice a month, on the 7th and 21st of each month.Part-timeThis is a part-time position consisting of 30 hours or less per week.
