Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler/Backup Wire Cutter to move products from the warehouse to trucks. You will work in a fast-paced team to ensure accurate orders and on-time delivery.

The role supports operations with lifting, scanning, packing and safety-focused tasks. Compensation includes shift differentials and full benefits for full-time teammates.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs with assistance.
• Stand and walk for long shifts.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using equipment; training provided.
• Count, check and record items in/out of the warehouse.
• Use handheld device to scan barcodes and track inventory.
• Assemble, package, label, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.

2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler Backup Wire Cutter

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job type: Full time

Schedule: 1:30pm start time Monday - Friday

Hourly pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hr plus $1.50/hr 2nd shift differential ($3.00/hr wire differential when cutting wire)

What You'll Do

As a warehouse associate, you're key to driving a great customer experience by getting products from our warehouse to our customers. As orders come in, you help fill them accurately by finding the right products and getting them packaged and onto our trucks. You'll work in a positive, fast-paced environment with a supportive team.

You will...

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts,or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure

What You Bring

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)

• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
• Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
