Airgas is hiring for a Warehouse Associate/Backup Local Delivery Driver at our Hanford, CA facility. The role focuses on safe handling of industrial gases, inventory integrity, and delivering to customers with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Valid driver0s license, medical card and endorsements
• No more than two traffic convictions, or one conviction and one at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• Regularly able to lift 75 lbs and move 125+ lbs with equipment
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or trucking school completion within last 12 months

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, stock, and organize incoming gases, supplies, and hard-goods; perform regular inventory audits
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and vehicles to deliver products to customers

As a Representative and Champion for Airgas, the Warehouse & Delivery Associate ensures the safe, efficient, and precise management of materials from the warehouse floor directly to our customers' doors. Operating out of an Airgas facility, you will bridge internal logistics and direct-to-customer service—handling everything from high-accuracy inventory control and material movement to route deliveries using commercial vehicles. As a Warehouse & Delivery Associate at Airgas, you will be part of a supportive professional team that encourages your personal growth and internal mobility, while ensuring you have the work/life balance you need to thrive.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Warehouse & Inventory Logistics: Receive, label, stock, and organize incoming industrial gases, supplies, and hard-goods. Conduct regular inventory audits, perform order picking/packing, and verify incoming/outgoing invoices to ensure total inventory accuracy.
• Equipment & Fleet Operations: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to manage dock stock and load/unload service trucks. Operate commercial motor vehicles to execute timely route deliveries of atmospheric and flammable gases.
• Safety and Compliance: Consistently observe company safety protocols (SOPs), wear required PPE, and comply with all federal, state, local, and DOT regulations. Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance defects immediately.
• Distribution & Customer Experience: Ensure complete and accurate delivery documentation (manifests, receipts, and load counts) while delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships at every delivery location.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 90 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience in warehouse operations or warehouse maintenance.
• Prior experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Familiarity or working knowledge of SAP and PROS software.
