Guitar Center Stores, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver to support daily warehouse operations and occasionally serve as a backup delivery driver. The role emphasizes accuracy in receiving, organizing, staging, and shipping merchandise while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer/bag scanning system familiarity. Prior warehouse experience and willingness to work overtime are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months warehouse/shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and scanning systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate, pull and transfer products for daily sales orders, ensuring accuracy between inventory and order docs.
• Receive, process, organize, and sort serialized and non-serialized products per company standards.
• Assist with quality control, inspection, and maintenance of rental inventory and equipment.
• Prepare, pack, and label merchandise for shipment following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Load and unload products safely using carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Move and organize product within the warehouse to support storage, staging, and shipment needs.
• Serve as backup delivery driver by operating company vehicles between locations as needed.
• Conduct basic vehicle safety inspections and comply with DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Support leadership and team with additional duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver supports daily warehouse operations through accurate receiving, organization, staging, and shipment of merchandise. This position primarily performs warehouse responsibilities while also serving as a backup delivery driver based on business demands, workload, and staffing needs. The role requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Locate, pull and transfer products for daily sales orders, ensuring accuracy between physical inventory and order documentation.
• Receive, process, organize, and sort serialized and non-serialized products according to company standards.
• Assist with quality control, inspection, and maintenance of rental inventory and equipment.
• Prepare, pack, and label merchandise for shipment following company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Load and unload products safely, with or without the use of carts, pallet jacks, or other approved equipment.
• Move and organize product within the warehouse to support storage, staging, inventory accuracy, and shipment needs.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver by operating company vehicles to transport products between locations as needed.
• Conduct basic vehicle safety inspections and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work environment.
• Support warehouse leadership and team members with additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability and willingness to operate company vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks, as needed.
• Six months previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and warehouse scanning systems preferred.
• Ability to navigate warehouse locations, locate products accurately, and use RF scanning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work overtime.

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience; $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
